Our Impact
The meals on wheels program serves hot lunch meals to approximately 100 senior and disabled individuals 5 days a week. The majority of these live alone at or below poverty level with limited access to transportation. 5% report a moderate income level.
The congregate program (meals served on site) serves 28 individuals on average 5 days each week. The majority of these seniors enjoy health and financial factors that do not prohibit their mobility. Sadly, however, 40% have lost a spouse.

Get Involved
Volunteers are the life blood of our Home-Delivery Program. We deliver approximately 100 meals each week to home-bound seniors in Burkburnett. Most of these meals are delivered by Meals on Wheels Volunteers. Without our volunteer community we could not sustain the Home-Delivery Program which accounts for approximately 90% of our clientele.
You don’t have to invest a huge amount a time in order to make a difference in a senior’s life. It takes about 1 to 1 ½ hours to deliver a meal route. You can volunteer one day a week or more if you like. You can also volunteer to be a back-up driver in case of emergency or volunteer at our Congregate Dining during our noon lunch at Senior Citizen Activity Center.
